Discovery Inspections

In keeping with Provincial Health Recommendations and Public Health Orders,  we are regrettably unable to offer 'in person' consultations following residential home inspections at this time. Home inspections will continue to take place, reports will still be sent on the day of the inspection, and the inspector will still go over the report and his inspection findings with the each customer following the home inspection. However, for the safety of the inspectors, our customers and their agents, as well as the Homeowners who allow the inspector to spend hours in their homes during the inspection, all post-inspection consultations will take place by telephone instead of in person until it is safe to resume normal operations.

When it is safe to do so, we will resume face-to-face consultations in very limited circumstances. At that time, any face-to-face consultations will be dependent on local rates of infection, provincial health orders and recommendations, and will only be possible when the following policies can be ensured:

  • Walkthroughs will not be permitted if the Buyer lives or has travelled outside of the local Health Authority
  • Walkthroughs will be abbreviated and kept as short as possible to minimize exposure time
  • Walkthroughs will take place outdoors, rain or shine
  • Walkthroughs will not be permitted if anyone in the Buyer's household has experienced flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days
  • Only 1 person should attend the walkthrough
  • Anyone attending a walkthrough must wear a mask and gloves and maintain a 2m distance from the inspector at all times
  • Walkthroughs will not be permitted if anyone in the Buyer's household or social bubble has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19
